My grandpa used to own this P-51, back in the mid 60’s. Benjamin Breakstone Peck, Lt. Colonel in the Army Air Core/Air Force. Serving durning and after the war. He later retired from the service and stared an airline out of Luxembourg, Interocean Airways. During this time he owned Mustang Sally. I was thinking about him the other day, searched the internet and uncovered this information. Stuff I already knew from our conversations over the years but still really neat to find. He was a great man, along with all of the fighting men of the ww2 generation. The day after Pearl Harbor, on the 8th he signed up. His favorite plane was no question, it was the P-51 Mustang. Just a beautiful aircraft. Thanks for posting and indulging me.
